Splash and Dash!

30 05 2007

What with one thing and another I’ve been so tied up with life that I’ve had no time to blog. Maybe that’s a good thing.

I’ve certainly been wrestling with matters spiritual, plus visiting another fellowship or two. Performing a marriage ceremony.Mentoring my two trainee pastors Vic and Chris as well as sizing them up for part 5 of their exams. Finished reading Nee’s Normal Christian Church Life [ see previous posts for link ] and then fitting some of his writings into my understanding. Visited another Third Day church site and continue to wonder what Holy Spirit is saying to me. Having some wonderful devotional times with the Mem Sahib.  Playing praises just me and the Lord together -  like old times….really old times.

On top of that we’ve been decorating and having a bathroom re-furbished.  That’s ongoing as I type. We’re hoping most of it will be done for the weekend when our guests arrive. Apart from the fresh vinyl flooring that is.

PLUS we’ve been preparing for our holiday – actually we are going to California to attend the wedding of my eldest nephew on June 8th. So we’re going to SanFrancisco with some flowers in our hair and music in our hearts! The wedding is at a place called Livermore ..but more about that when we get home.

I’ve just been called away for my evening meal so you haven’t a chance of any more from me right now!

Ptosis? Ptchah!

11 05 2007

I’ve always had a ptosis – a largely half closed right eye. It used to bother me till I learnt to smile crooked. You’ll see that there’s a lot of them about actually but I never thought I’d see this.

The young Tony. Now that’s what I call crooked smiling. It’s had us all fooled for a decade.

Anticipation

…the beef’s cooked, the roast tatties are filling the house with that meaty greasy aroma that NEEDS gravy to bring it all to earth, the jazz is playing in the dining room and our friends are on their way.

MMmmmmMMMMMMMMmmmmmmMMMMMM!

The best bit will be catching up with two special people we love a lot who’ve seen us thro thick and thin.

Ahh – Fellowship!

On completely different notes, the younger poppet invited me to fill in a Bebo quiz tonight and I can’t get the hang of how to see my results. Help Fran!

Mimsy – I came out politically close to Pope Benedict XVI and yo Mama is another Ghandi!

another of life’s questions

If agoraphobia is the fear of being in open spaces, is agaraphobia the fear of mushrooms?

Spotted today in some patient notes.

Would agaraphobia keep you out of woods, supermarkets and cellars?

Is angoraphobia the fear of large white fluffy rabbits and would you also avoid designer knitwear and stoles?
